Hopefully someone can help me. I purchased a Betsyville by Betsy Johnson rolling luggage and its made of 100% PVC and the lining is 100% polyester. I’ve noticed that it has that icky chemical plastic smell and I want to get rid of it so my clothes don’t stink. I am leaving for this trip Friday morning and today its Wednesday so any help or tips would be appreciated. I know I have heard of baking soda( haven’t tried that yet) and I have let the suit case air out for about 2 days but with no luck. So any tips or help would be appreciated to get this smell out in a short amount of time .
and no stupid answers please like the one poster saying to put fish in my luggage I dont want my luggage to smell like fish(which I cant stand either)
type clever- i was actually going to try that after doing some googling arm and hammer baking soda or something called a fridge it. If anyone has used any of these methods or other methods that have worked please let me know
also i know the reason for the smell is off gassing but anything to possibly speed it up or take it away
thank you gk, i have it outside right now opened up and airing out unfourtantly its june and here in chicago it has been a lil cold and rainy the past few days. I’m hoping it will help some . We will see when I get home today.
