Paddington station to King’s Cross station with luggage – taxi or the tube?

suit luggage
A4Q asked:

We’ll be taking the Heathrow express and then the NR train to Cambridge. How easy/difficult will it be navigating through the 2 train/tube stations with 26 inch wheeled suit-cases? How many stairs versus escalators/lifts?

Taxi or the tube for this connection?
We’re in our early forties and in good shape.

taking the tube would be pretty easy, but i always take a cab, i find it more relaxing and no stairs or esculators

I’d hail a black cab or catch the circle, metropolitan or Hammersmith & City line.

TAXI all the time, i cant stand the tube when carrying any luggage, its too much stress…
