I am going on a vacation. Were leaving in April on a Saturday morning and coming home the next Saturday night. Am I forgetting something? This is the stuff packing for kids only.
Each child has: (checked in luggage)
7 play outfits
6 dinner outfits (eating out every night but the last Saturday)
7 pairs of underwear
4 pairs of socks
1 sweatshirt
1 raincoat (just in case)
3 bathing suits
3 cover-ups
1 pair of sneakers
2 pairs of sandals
3 hats
1 pair of sunglasses
Emergency Bag: (carry-on)
change of clothes
pair of PJ’s
toothbrush for everyone + toothpaste
diapers
wipes
ear plugs (for airplanes to reduce pressure)
boys inhalers
boys nebulizers
extra medicines (children’s Motrion, bug bite stuff, etc)
Food Bag: (drinks provided on flight)
(8) mini cereals
(8) mini bagels
(16) 100 calorie packs
(8) sandwiches
(3) bottles
(3) sippy cups (it is bumpy on the plane)
Grooming Things – (toothbrushes stay in emergency bag)
nail clippers (baby kind for girls)
kids shampoo….
soap
baby lotion
Beach Bag:
sun block
beach toys
towels
more sun block!
Entertainment:
3 games (for hotel)
1 deck of cards
5 movies
2 portable DVD players
On-Board Entertainment:
1 backpack per child with stuff
Oh, I’m sorry I meant 7 socks.
Plus an outfit for the plane ride home, and a mesh bag for each child’s (my myself and my husbands) dirty clothes.
No the nail clippers will be going in check-in luggage.

It sounds as though you’ve pretty much covered everything, except I would probably pack as few extra pairs of socks per child and something to entertain the children while you are either flying or driving as young ones tend to get bored easily.
I would suggest packing extra underwear, socks, clothes just in case of accidents, spills, etc.

Girl!! With 6 kids, I think you are forgetting your mind!! lol. It actually looks like a good list!! I can’t see anything that you forgot….OH! I agree with the more socks thing. at first I was thinking these people are crazy…lol. You are obviously going somewhere warm with a pool or beach, so I thought the flip flops would suffice, but if you are going out to dinner every night, you may need a few extra pairs. ALTHOUGH, flip flops are welcome in restaraunts, so I guess it depends. lol. And also, maybe some floaties or pool/beach toys?
Umm… besides your husband, your kids, and your money, it seems like you have everything covered. One idea could be to take an extra change or two of clothes. I’m not sure how old your kids are, but it would be nice to have if they extra clothes in case they are extra messy.
I also didn’t actually see pjs packed in your kids’s bags, just in their emergency carry on. Also, if you are sure your kids are going to want or need sunglasses, you may want to take along an extra pair or two in case one of your kids loses or breaks theirs. You said you are taking wipes and diapers on the plane. Make sure you have wipes and diapers packed for the trip as well.
Other than that, make sure that you have your and your husband’s bags packed as well. Cameras and film (or memory cards) and batteries are also nice on vacation. Depending on the age of your kids the older ones may even enjoy a disposable camera to take pics. Enjoy your vacation!
you can’t bring the nail clipper on board they will throw it away when you go through security happened to me twice. and i would pack more socks only four pairs per child that’s not enough if they are changing clothes for dinner then they need new socks and new underwear so just more of those and i would also pack some plain t shirts just in case someone spills on their clothes the same with your youngest kids
I always take lolly pops for kids to **** on plane to help with ears when taking off.
I think you got everything else covered.
Looks good, maybe a few other pairs of socks and always be prepared for anything. My mom spent weeks planning our trip and it was the first trip my triplet brothers had their own bags. All of their clothes ended up in the toilet. Yup, the toilet. Just saying, always be ready, and to many undies/socks don’t hurt!

yep, I am going to annoy you again. 4 days ago you posted you had 2 sets of triplets and were going to the Bahama’s in april for 2 months. Now its for a week?(I just checked under the resolved questions.) Mom to Many….why would someone make up that they have 6 kids…why would she make up that she has a big house. Who cares. It is sad that you are so jealous and bored. And for your information she said that she was going on vacation IN 2 MONTHS….not FOR 2 months….read the question again!
