i have heard many stories of people who visited S. Korea or people who go often and one of the best benefits is the shopping. one of my main interests at the moment would be a custom suit of custom shoes which i know would be near impossible since i cant get measured there. but what about things like designer luggage, wallets, watches, shoes suits, shirts, ties, bow ties etc.
is there a place or way i can order this stuff super cheap online?
ok here is the thing the first 2 answers are about buying korean stuff. but im not talking about korean clothes. im talking about buying real designer stuff from korea. im not interested in korean cultural clothing korea just has stuff cheaper.
OK ONCE AGAIN LET ME CLARIFY THAT I DO NOT WANT KOREAN STUFF. I WANT AMERICAN DISIGNER STUFF LIKE NICE SUITS ETC. I JUST WANT TO GET IT FROM KOREA BECAUSE ITS CHEAPER.
how can i buy cheap stuff from S. Korea without having to go there?
*$’s asked:

Find a Korean clothing store website.
if you live near a major city in the US (LA, NYC, SF), chances are there is a Koreatown in the area with Korean businesses and Korean items for sale. that’s a much better option than shopping online because sometimes the sizes in Korea don’t match up with sizes in the states.
you can go to yesasia.com to get stuff(:
um but it’s not just korean stuff, it’s mostly asian designer clothing, acessories, you can get like music from korea, china, japan, etc…
like for example, big bang, a korean boy group, they have like their albums, posters, souveniers, etc.. on the website(: but of course their’s clothing too so i hope that helps
i dont know if its actually cheaper… maybe it appears cheaper, but do take into account the foreign exchange rate.
if it is…most probably because its a rip-off.
if it is a genuine product…i think your best bet would be to go on to a korean site which sells the item you are looking for. For example, if u wanted to buy an Armani suit, go to the Armani website based in Korea, and order it from there. but then again, shipping costs and all that might actually make the item more expensive than if you were to buy it back home.
another option could be buy going on ebay. obviously.
or you can try to befriend someone who is willing to act as the middle-man.
another option, is looking for korean bloggers who sell stuff from korea. there are a lot of people who sell genuine korean or western designer stuff cheap.
Okay…at least I know what you are talking about. If they have your measurements, many of the tailors there can whip out a pretty nice suit. However, you need to be able to pick fabrics. My suggestion to you is to find a tailor in Seoul or Songtan (near Osan AB) and contact them by e-mail. Don’t worry…nearly all of them speak English. I personally have used a tailor in Songtan known as Mr. Moon since 1988. All he needs is your height, weight, waist, inseam, chest, neck and sleeve length. If you have purchased a nice suit before, you should know these measurements. If you are real nice, he will send you fabric swatches in the mail for you to choose from (or you could send him). You should get the suit in about 3 weeks (if you are in the US). A decent suit runs about $200 now. I had him make a suit for my dad and he never met my dad and it was a perfect fit. My dad took that suit to Botany 500 to see if they could get the same material, different color and it was gong to cost $1500. He keeps your measurements on account for 5 years then asks for an update in case you gain or lose weight.
If you are just looking for authentic American designer stuff, its not cheaper in S. Korea. It’s either the same price or even more…clothing there is not cheap, unless its unbranded. I have both been to Korea and had friends living in the states from Korea, and we have come to the conclusion that its cheaper to buy designer here, especially with stores like Nordstrom Rack, Saks Off 5th, etc. and the major sales we have here. Actually they usually purchase designer brand stuff here to bring home for family/friends.
