As far as other essentials, I am also packing my make up, vitamins (assuming I am allowed to bring theses), jewelry, magazines, nintendo ds, camera, ipod, birth control pills, tampons, panty liners, wallet, cell phone, and chargers all in my carry on.

If you guys can help me with any sort of down sizing tricks or advice….Id really appreciate it.

I don’t want my hat to get squashed, so I am looking for a hatbox. Not a vintage, or antique, just a hatbox. If it used or older that is ok. But luggage places don’t have it and eBay has a very limited selection, most of which are sold as antique or vintage. I am just looking for a nice sturdy piece of luggage that will fit in my suitcase and protect my hat?
I know people don’t wear hats so much anymore, but can’t I still find a hatbox for a mens fedora?

So, i will be traveling with Am Trak in August. It will be my first time. from those who use Am Trak, could you share some tips with me. I am traveling with a suit case or two via a snack car. It doesn’t indicate that there are checked luggage as an Amenity.
