I am driving from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Palm Springs California and taking I-10 from Arizona into California.

I will be bringing 2 dogs and 2 Guinea Pigs (pets) in the car with me and 3 suit cases of clothing and such in them.

I’ve read a lot of stories online saying that if you have out of state license plates you will have a hassle at the Agriculture Inspection Station on I-10.
I’ve watched YouTube videos where it shows the “guards” asking you – Where are you from? Any plants, vegetables, animals, or fruits?

As I said, I’ll have the animals and vet records with me.

Do they stop you and inspect your vehicle? Open luggage? I’ll have nothing illegal just curious to what I should expect.
