John thought that it would be one of the most exciting holidays of his life, but he proved to be wrong. As soon as he got to his destination, he got off the train and was reached by two policemen who asked him for his papers. He felt his pulse quicken when he opened the luggage and discovered that the papers were not in its place. But when he tried to explain the policemen that he had lost his papers, they did not believe him and took him to the police station.
It had all begun in the London railway station. John was a tourist that had been visiting many important cities and he was now going to Liverpool. He could not help but getting nervous the moment he saw his luggage was not beside him. An old man hobbled towards him with the aid of a stick and said he was sorry to have mistaken the luggage. “You know,” he whispered, “I cannot see very well.” As his heartbeat slowed, John got on the train.
Now in jail, one of the policemen that had arrested him said that he was allowed just one call and he had better call his counsellor because his situation was unfavourable. Another policeman came and led him to a small room where he was interrogated by a man in a grey, ill-fitting suit, but he denied saying a word until his counsellor came. As soon as the lawyer arrived, John felt a sight of relief. However, when the counsellor entered the room, he gazed at John in surprise and threw all his papers to the floor. At that moment, John recognized his papers among the others. The counsellor was put under arrest while the man in grey explained John that he was free to leave.
“Good costume!” John said ironically to the counsellor. It had all been a case of mistaken identity.

John thought it would be one of the most exciting holidays of his life, wow, was he wrong!
As soon as arriving to his destination he was approached by two policemen wanting to see his papers. He felt his pulse quicken when he opened his luggage to discover they were nowhere to be found. When he tried to explain to the officers he had lost his papers they refused to believe him and promptly took him to the police station.
It had all began in the London Railway Station; John was a tourist who had been visiting many important cities and was now heading to Liverpool. He could not help but get nervous the moment he realized his luggage was no longer beside him. An old man hobbled towards him with the help of a cane and said he was sorry to have mistaken his luggage for his own, “you know” he whispered, “I cannot see very well”. As his heartbeat slowed, John got on the train.
Now in jail, one of the policemen who had arrested him allowed him to make just one phone call, advising it be to his counselor. Another policeman led him to a small room where he was then interrogated by a man in a grey, ill-fitting suit. John refused to respond without his counselor present. When his lawyer arrived he entered the room throwing papers on the floor. John’s eyes grew wide with shock when he recognized his papers among them. The counselor was placed under arrest while the officer told John he was free to leave. As John walked away he exclaimed “Good Costume” to the counselor, apparently the whole ordeal had been a case of mistaken identity.
